Grassdale feedlot

Mort & Co.’s Grassdale Feedlot near Dalby, Queensland, has continued to be upgraded since it was originally built in 2007.  The initial complex used Temple Grandin-based designs, including curved races and crowding yards.  Since then it has been expanded from 35,000 hd to 54,000 hd in 2016, which included a new vee race in the induction facility. A dual alley adjustable race with anti-backers was installed to speed up the processing of cattle being inducted into the feedlot. In 2019, a tipping restrainer was installed into the upgraded hospital facilities. This was only the second tipping restrainer to be manufactured by Thompson Longhorn.
